Delete your account

You can permanently delete your GazeGuard account and everything tied to it, at any time, yourself. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed. Last updated July 8, 2026.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:

Open the GazeGuard app.
Go to your Profile.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm the warning, then type DELETE to confirm.

Your account and all associated data are then permanently removed from our servers. This cannot be undone.

Or request it by email

If you can no longer open the app, email us from the address linked to your account (or tell us your sign-in method) and we will delete your account and its data for you: ifactstudios@gmail.com.

What gets deleted

Everything we hold that is tied to your account is permanently erased:

Your profile (name, email or Telegram identity, and profile photo).
Your synced progress and stats (guarded time, streaks, blocked-attempt counts, focus-session history, lanterns).
Your login sessions, which are signed out everywhere.

Nothing is archived and nothing is retained after deletion. There is no additional retention period.

A note on on-device data

GazeGuard's filtering runs on your phone and keeps no browsing history — there is nothing about your browsing to delete, because it never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes any remaining on-device settings.
